Introduction
Blitzkrieg is the full conversion of the hit game Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge. It is the ultimate MOD set in the wonderfully exciting setting of World War 2. The player is given the chance to participate in the last great war from three very different perspectives: The Allied, The Soviet, and of course from the Nazi (German) point of view. The game will preserve certain concepts from Red Alert 2 such as the idea of the Mobile Construction Vehicle (MCV). The game will include a detailed economic system and a realistic assortment of actual World War 2 units. The fact-based units will be presented with actual strengths and weaknesses shown during their use in World War 2. Blitzkrieg will be a reality based Modification of the brilliant Red Alert 2 set in the endlessly intriguing action of World War 2.

The Game
Blitzkrieg will include a delicately balanced system of hierarchy with the lowest levels beginning with the infantry and ending at the heavily armoured tanks. Infantry will be able to destroy certain tanks only trough strategic placement and thoughtful planning. Tank shells will be far more powerful in Blitzkrieg (based on reality) than in any version of Red Alert, which will more easily and quickly destroy infantry. They will fire at longer range and depending on armour thickness, quality, and placement be able to evade damage from smaller calibre weapons and grenades. Speed will also be varied for all units based on their realistic weight and mobility level. Many specialized units will be included in the game such as the powerful Tank Destroyers. Their weapon will be specialized to tare through tank armour and quickly destroy large numbers of tanks but their anti-infantry abilities will be greatly reduced.

Airplanes
The Air Fields (Fighter Commands) will control the defensive capabilities of your fighters and bombers. With the entrance of enemy units the fighter command will modify fighter to defensive mode but during enemy free periods the airplanes won't be in use. The fields are wonderful for defence of satellite bases and the planes are great offence toward nearby enemy bases. The airfield will automatically spawn offensive fighters, but production of bombers will be controlled by the player, however that's in another building called the Bomber Command. The effectiveness of the attack will depend on the right mixture of bombers. There will of course be Anti-Air defensive buildings and units.

Technology Tree

The technological capabilities of production in Blitzkrieg will be based on the realistic use of World War 2 information. Units that were available early in World War 2 will be available early in game as the war progresses the newly discovered technologies of World War 2 will provide the player with many new vehicles and infantry options. Tanks will be divided into eight categories: Light, Medium, Heavy, Artillery, Scout, Anti-Air, Tank Destroyer and Transport. This will enable the player to quickly decide on tank production and monetary management. Each side will have the ability to produce two versions of the three main categories of tanks: Light, Medium and Heavy giving a large number of beautifully designed tanks for the player's army. An example of this feature is the German Heavy Tiger and Tiger 2. The Tiger 2 will take longer to produce and cost more but will be much stronger. The possibilities for mixing and matching are great.

Economic System
The system of funding your troops in Blitzkrieg will be much different from the conventional resource gathering of Red Alert 2. The possibilities for income will include the production of Oil Derricks (which continuously extracts small amounts of oil that is automatically converted to funds).
Each unit will have a specific cost that will be deducted from your monetary reserves. The system of money gathering in Blitzkrieg will be truly different and will include a few interesting surprises for the player to explore.
