Class 58 Locomotive

This model of a British Rail Class 58 Diesel locomotive was made for a canceled MS Rail Sim project. The model weighs in at 11,314 polys and has animated fans in the roof above the engine bay. Sadly the project was canceled before the cab interior was made.

The Class 58 entered service with British Rail in 1982 as a heavy freight hauler. After 20 years of steady, reliable service EWS withdrew the class. In 2000, 30 of them were sent abroad, hired to France, the Netherlands and Spain. The latter two countries are still using theirs. Those remaining in the UK are currently in long term storage
