Allied Vehicles ORE TRUCK RANGE: N/A ARMOR: Heavy WEAPON: None Critical to the financial success of allied forces, the Ore Truck is the only unit capable of collecting raw unprocessed minerals for refinement in the refinery. Ore Trucks can be order to a specific location to harvest by selecting the unit and targeting the new area. Although slow, it is heavily armoured and able to withstand moderate damage before being destroyed however a wise commander would be advised to escort these vehicles and actively seek out the enemy’s ore trucks. RANGER RANGE: Short ARMOR: Light WEAPON: M-60 Machine gun Fast and lightly armoured, the Ranger is ideal for scouting an area during the early beginnings of war. Used as a support unit for an infantry squad, the Ranger can soften up enemy forces with its M-60 machine gun before a direct encounter occurs. LIGHT TANK RANGE: Medium ARMOR: Medium WEAPON: 75mm Cannon The Light Tank is the standard allied tank. It light armour and small calibre weapon makes it a poor match against soviet armour in a direct assault. However in large divisions or in hit and run style attacks, the light tank can overwhelm its opposition with its high manoeuvrability and rapid rate of fire. APC RANGE: Short ARMOR: Heavy WEAPON: M-60 Machine gun A codename for “Armoured Personnel Carrier” this lightweight vehicle can carry five allied infantry, safely across the battlefield within a short space of time. The APC uses the same drive mechanism as tanks and thus can crush simple barriers and infantry with ease. If the deployment zone is hostile, its turret mounted M-60 machine gun should be enough to keep enemy forces at bay whilst it accomplishes its mission. ARTILLERY RANGE: Long ARMOR: Light WEAPON: 155mm Cannon This long-range mobile cannon can launch shells over enemy walls and onto enemy structures. The large explosive radius of the shell makes it devastating against groups of infantry too. A great support weapon, artillery units are too vulnerable to lead an assault. MEDIUM TANK RANGE: Medium ARMOR: Heavy WEAPON: 105mm Cannon The higher grade allied tank, this vehicle is just as well armoured, faster and less costly then the soviet heavy tank although armed only with a single 105mm cannon. This all-purpose vehicle is useful in attack and defence and works well in large divisions or in mixed groups. MCV RANGE: N/A ARMOR: Heavy WEAPON: None The foundation of any base starts with the Mobile Construction Vehicle (MCV) Able to deploy into a fully functioning construction yard; the MCV is an invaluable piece of equipment for the allies. Its high cost and slow speed require that it be protected. As with any other construction facility, the more construction yards you have, the faster construction time will proceed. APACHE LONGBOW RANGE: Short ARMOR: Heavy WEAPON: Hellfire missiles The only mainstream aircraft unit in the allied forces is the highly effective apache helicopters. It is loaded with powerful hellfire missiles, which cause considerable damage to armoured threats. Use in conjunction with naval or ground assaults, the apache is an excellent support unit able to inflict additional damage to the target in a short space of time with usually little or no return fire. TRANSPORT RANGE: N/A ARMOR: Medium WEAPON: None The Landing Ship Tank (LST) allows transportation of ground-based units from one shoreline to another shoreline. Transports can only unload on shorelines and are unarmed. GUNBOAT RANGE: Short ARMOR: Light WEAPON: 2-inch deck gun & depth charge launcher The basic allied naval vessel, this lightweight, fast moving ship is good at scouting naval routes and detecting soviet submarines before they cause any trouble. Its 2-inch deck gun can harass shoreline targets whilst its single depth charge launcher will fire automatically at any submarine nearby. DESTROYER RANGE: Medium ARMOR: Medium WEAPON: Stinger missiles & depth charge launchers The higher class allied naval vessel, the Destroyer is an all-purpose unit, which is effective against land, air and sea-based threats. Its fast firing stinger missile packs are accurate and deadly against ground and air forces whilst its dual depth charges ensure submarines will soon be scrap metal at the bottom of the ocean. CRUISER RANGE: Extreme ARMOR: Heavy WEAPON: 8-inch artillery cannons The pride of the allied navy, the cruiser has been referred to by many soviet commanders as “slow moving death” The cruiser is incredibly slow but its makes up for this disadvantage with incredible firepower and range. Able to fire a burst of inaccurate but extremely deadly shells from incredible distances, the cruiser will destroy anything unlucky enough to be in its path. A favourite target of submarines and MIG’s, its lack of defences ensure that the faster moving gunboat and destroyer units should escort it. |
