Soviet Vehicles ORE TRUCK RANGE: N/A ARMOR: Heavy WEAPON: None Critical to the financial success of soviet forces, the Ore Truck is the only unit capable of collecting raw unprocessed minerals for refinement in the refinery. Ore Trucks can be order to a specific location to harvest by selecting the unit and targeting the new area. Although slow, it is heavily armoured and able to withstand moderate damage before being destroyed however a wise commander would be advised to escort these vehicles and actively seek out the enemy’s ore trucks. HEAVY TANK RANGE: Medium ARMOR: Heavy WEAPON: Twin 105mm cannons The soviet answer to the puny allied armoured divisions is the heavy tank. This fearsome beast is equipped with dual 105mm cannons giving it twice the punch to the nearest allied equivalent, the Medium Tank. It sacrifices speed for this bonus, but in invasion style attacks, the heavy tank can wear down enemy defences and overrun enemy installations with relative ease. V2 ROCKET LAUNCHER RANGE: Long ARMOR: Light WEAPON: V2 Rocket The brilliant soviet scientists were the first to realise the incredible destructive power of unguided long-range rockets and after years of testing the second generation of rockets is ready for battlefield use. The V2 Launcher can destroy most buildings with just two rockets. Factor in its incredible range and it easy to see why the Allies fear this weapons platform. Its drawbacks are its light armour, long reload time, inability to hit fast moving targets and the slim possibility that allied air defences will shoot down the rocket. MAMMOTH TANK RANGE: Medium ARMOR: Heavy WEAPON: Twin 120mm Cannons & missile packs. Large and slow, the Mammoth Tank is a battlefield force to be reckoned with. A huge vehicle the Mammoth, can take large amounts of damage before succumbing. Its dual 120mm cannons give it unprecedented firepower on the ground whilst its mammoth tusk missile packs make it effective against infantry and offer some protection from aircraft as well. The Mammoth Tanks unique construction also allows it to unusually automatically repair itself on the battlefield. MCV RANGE: N/A ARMOR: Heavy WEAPON: None The foundation of any base starts with the Mobile Construction Vehicle (MCV) Able to deploy into a fully functioning construction yard; the MCV is an invaluable piece of equipment for the allies. Its high cost and slow speed require that it be protected. As with any other construction facility, the more construction yards you have, the faster construction time will proceed. TRANSPORT HELICOPTER RANGE: N/A ARMOR: Medium WEAPON: None Able to transport 5 infantry units through the air, the transport helicopter is ideal for the quick transporting of assault squads into an enemy base. The Transport helicopter is slow moving and unarmed. HIND RANGE: Short ARMOR: Heavy WEAPON: Vulcan chain-gun Large and armoured, the Hind attack helicopter uses its high velocity Vulcan chain gun to tear apart enemy infantry and other such soft targets. Its large ammo supply, allows it to follow an target for quite some time whilst wearing away at its defences. YAK RANGE: Short ARMOR: Light WEAPON: Twin machine-guns Nicknamed the “Infantry Eraser” the Yak is a propeller aircraft armed with dual machine guns. The Yak fires in strafing runs, swooping down on groups of marching infantry, potentially destroying them all in a single run. The Yak is not fast and is vulnerable to rocket soldiers, which survive the first run. MIG RANGE: Medium ARMOR: Light WEAPON: Heat-seeking missiles This next generation of fighter aircraft do not use propellers but powerful “jet” engines. The MIG is an agile and deadly aircraft equipped with powerful and aircraft heat-seeking missiles. Use in hit a run style tactics, the MIG can easily remove armoured threats and in large groups they can decimate any allied base, well any poorly defended allied base. SPY PLANE RANGE: N/A ARMOR: Light WEAPON: Camera When targeted, the Spy Plane will swoop in from off board and take a snapshot of the targeted area, removing the shroud. BADGER BOMBER RANGE: N/A ARMOR: Light WEAPON: Dropped bombs & paratroopers The Badger Bomber is the transport plane used for dropping Paratroopers and Parachute Bombs onto a designated target. It is somewhat slow, and its lack of armor can make it a snack for any enemy AA-guns that may be guarding the target. PARATROOPERS RANGE: Short ARMOR: None WEAPON: AK-47 Rifle Dropped from the Badger, this squad of 5 infantry soldiers are in every way similar to regular ground based infantry. Paratroopers can be dropped anywhere on the map, even in areas not yet explored. PARACHUTE BOMBS RANGE: N/A ARMOR: N/A WEAPON: High-explosive yield Dropped from Badger Bombers, these explosives fall in a line over their target, removing the object targeted and anything in the area around it. Troops can see these falling and will attempt to leave the targeted area. TRANSPORT RANGE: N/A ARMOR: Medium WEAPON: None The Landing Ship Tank (LST) allows transportation of ground-based units from one shoreline to another shoreline. Transports can only unload on shorelines and are unarmed. SUBMARINE RANGE: Long ARMOR: Medium WEAPON: Torpedo Silent but deadly, the submarine launches powerful long-range torpedoes at enemy naval forces. When firing it must surface to fire thus making it vulnerable to any nearby threat and it lacks any ground based weapon systems but in large groups they are can dominate the sea and allow soviet grounds to reach enclosed allied bases with little resistance. |
